Situated to the west of the village city of St Davids, with its 12th century Cathedral, 'Whitesands' enjoys a quiet location adjacent to the sea and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. The Pembrokeshire Coast has some of Britain's most spectacular coastal scenery and there are also some of the safest and cleanest beaches in Europe, which are ideal for tiny children and also for a wide variety of watersports including sailing, surfing, wind-surfing and sea angling.
Less than a mile away is the beautiful sandy Caerfai beach, one of the four best beaches in the British Isles (Holiday Which). Very safe for small children and toddlers with shallow rock pools for paddling and shrimping.
The large sandy beach of Whitesands is a few hundred yards away and reached by footpath. This has golden sands at all stages of the tide, with easy access for pushchairs from the adjacent car park. Whitesands is an EEC Standard Blue Flag Beach (free from contamination and manned by Lifeguards)
Enjoy a quiet picnic and swim at the sheltered sandy beaches of Porthlysgi, Porthselau, Porth-melgan or Caerbwdi, accessible only on foot. The large sandy beaches of Traethllyfn and Newgale are only a few miles away. Abercastle, Aberbach and Abermawr have rock pools and sandy beaches.
The tiny picturesque Porthclais harbour, beloved by children for “crabbing”, has a slipway for launching small boats and free boat park. There is also a famous lifeboat station at Porthstinian. Boat and fishing trips to the offshore islands are organised by local fishermen.
WHERE TO FIND 'WHITESANDS'
The continuing extension of the M4 westwards means that St Davids has become quicker and easier to reach. The M4, M50 and A40 are direct routes to Haverfordwest.
From either Haverfordwest or Fishguard take the A487 to St Davids and Whitesands Bay.

Grounds - Behind the house there is a large lawned area for children to play and a paved patio for outdoor meals; the rest of the garden is naturalised coastal shrub-land.
Parking - private off the road parking in front of the house for several cars.

Kitchen: fully equipped with electric double oven, built in ceramic hob with extractor fan over, fridge and dishwasher. Toaster, electric kettle and ample crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided.
Utility room: washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and second fridge, storage cupboards, door to garden.
Cloak room: Toilet, bath with shower over and washbasin.
Bedroom - 1: three single beds, clothes storage units and bedside tables, window with views to Carn Llidi.
Lounge: bay picture window to front giving splendid panoramic views of Whitesands Bay, Ramsey Island and the rugged Pembrokeshire Coastline. Angled window with views to Carn Llidi. Comfortable armchairs and colour TV, storage units, coffee tables. Sliding patio doors to conservatory.
Dining Room: dining table and ample seating; glazed doors to conservatory.
Conservatory: double-glazed windows with superb views of Whitesands Bay. Table and chairs.
Inner Hallway: airing cupboard, doors to bedrooms 2 and 3.
Bedroom - 2: double bed, clothes storage units and bedside tables.
En-suite shower room: shower cubicle, wash hand basin, toilet.

Bathroom: bath with shower over, 2 washbasins and toilet.
All matresses and pillows are covered with quilted cotton washable protectors. Pillows and duvets have synthetic fillings. Bed-side lamps by the beds. Cots and high chairs are available on request for babies and toddlers and we provide a babysitting service. Other equipment - iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner. Useful items include First Aid kit, torch, local OS maps, guide books, games and playing cards.
Heating - full oil-fired central heating and hot water. Electricity is charged at the current SWEB rate per unit.
